inversion table

I didn't use an inversion table (also called an inversion machine) myself while I was in acute pain, but I have received email from so many people saying that their inversion table really helped them that I thought it would be worth including some information here for others.

The basic idea is that you strap yourself to the table and then it flips you upside down (or at an angle).  Gravity stretches the body and the weight of your body provides gentle traction for your back.  As with all products, I would have talked with my doctor about the safety of this table for my situation before using it.

I have no relationship with the solutions I describe and created this site purely to inspire others to go take control of their own back care and to provide some ideas of treatments to discuss with your doctor. If you find this website useful, please add a link to it from your website or blog.
